You gave me the wrong dress code – Jack Whitehall’s mum left frustrated ahead of wedding
Jack Whitehall has found himself at the centre of a family mix-up ahead of his wedding to model Roxy Horner, after a dress code misunderstanding left his mother, Hilary Whitehall, frustrated in the final stretch before the ceremony.
Hilary revealed she was initially given incorrect outfit guidance by her son, which led her to purchase attire that did not match the actual wedding instructions.
“When I asked Jack what the dress code was several weeks ago, he gave me the wrong dress code,” she said. “I got the wrong dress, then the wedding invitation arrived with a completely different dress code on it. He said, ‘Sorry about that, Mumsy’.”
The mix-up comes as wedding preparations ramp up, with Roxy and Jack seen sharing affectionate moments as they travelled by taxi ahead of the big day.
At one point, Roxy was pictured in relaxed pre wedding style, wearing a white T shirt, jeans, and a cap, while bridal items, including her gown, were transported separately.
The couple, who share a young daughter, were seen packing suitcases and preparing for the ceremony, with Jack dressed casually as he helped organise logistics on the move.
Hilary’s frustration follows a busy period of celebrations, including a lively hen do for Roxy earlier in the month.
The event featured karaoke, themed outfits, private dinners, and a series of party moments shared on social media. Hilary herself joined in, dressed in a pink sequin suit for parts of the celebration.
One of the most talked about moments from the hen weekend came when Roxy was surprised with a stage performance by a performer styled in the “Magic Mike” tradition, leaving her visibly stunned in front of friends.
Roxy also embraced the festivities with personalised bridal accessories, including themed clothing and hotel decorations, turning the weekend into a full scale celebration with friends and family.
Meanwhile, Jack reflected on his own stag celebrations in a recent interview, describing a day that began early and escalated quickly.
Speaking about the outing, which included stops with friends such as James Corden and Jamie Redknapp, he admitted the details were somewhat hazy.
“I started with Guinness at about 11 o’clock in the morning, which was not that wise,” he said. “I have a sort of patchy memory about what happened in the evening.”
